As Microsoft Office SharePoint is more
and more becoming your executive and users choice for
collaboration in the organization, you must be thinking a

You may be thinking for custom webpart to perform Exchange
2007 integration with MOSS 2007, the answer is no, don’t do

Yes you are right this feature is available out of box in
MOSS just use the Outlook WebParts, provide Exchange Server
field in your Outlook Web Parts for MOSS 2007 and the Web
Part will pick up the current user's mailbox automatically.
For Exchange 2003, you may need to write custom code or may
refer to this document
